Your training record stays yours.

The Android app may store the information you enter or generate, including:

• Profile, training goals, calibration, plans, exercises, gym profiles, and preferences.
• Workout history, sets, notes, ratings, personal bests, timers, and active-workout drafts.
• Recovery check-ins, readiness estimates, bodyweight, measurements, and progress photos.
• Ledger progress, levels, streaks, badges, and other derived training summaries.

This data remains in app-private storage unless you export, back it up, share it, or use an optional third-party integration.

If you explicitly grant permission, IronLog can read sleep, resting heart rate, and heart-rate variability data from Health Connect to support recovery context. IronLog does not request Health Connect write permissions in the current build.

Health data is processed locally by IronLog and is not sent to an IronLog server. You can revoke access at any time in Health Connect or Android settings.

Cloud AI is off until you configure it. If enabled, IronLog sends the prompt and relevant training context needed for your request directly to the provider and endpoint you selected. The provider may retain or process that information under its own terms.

Your provider key is stored on the Android device using protected app storage. IronLog does not run a proxy server that receives the key or prompt. Avoid putting information in prompts that you do not want the chosen provider to process.

Backups and exports are created only through features you control. A file you save or share exists outside IronLog's private storage and remains there until you delete it from the destination. Treat those files as sensitive training records.

Progress photos remain local to the device unless you include them in a supported backup or share them yourself. IronLog disables Android's automatic app backup and device-transfer backup for its private fitness data.

Workout timers, rest alerts, reminders, and related notifications are scheduled and handled on the device. Android may require notification, wake-lock, foreground-service, or restart permissions for these features. You can disable notifications in IronLog or Android settings.

The IronLog web app stores app data, theme choices, and offline files in your browser using local storage technologies such as IndexedDB, Cache Storage, and a service worker. It has no IronLog account sync or first-party analytics. Clearing site data can permanently remove browser workouts unless you exported a backup first.

The site is hosted by GitHub Pages. GitHub may process connection information such as IP address, browser details, and request logs as the hosting provider. See the GitHub General Privacy Statement.

Local data remains until you delete individual records, use IronLog's reset controls, clear browser site data, or uninstall the Android app. Uninstalling does not remove backup or export files you saved elsewhere. Data sent to a third-party provider is retained according to that provider's policy.

IronLog limits collection by keeping core training data local, but no device or storage system is risk-free. Protect your device, exported files, and cloud-provider credentials.

This notice describes the current pre-alpha software. It will be updated here before a material change to data handling takes effect.
